AD Brandon Keynote at PE Workshop

University of Michigan Athletic Director David A. Brandon was keynote speaker for the 18th annual Physical Education Workshop, held on Friday, December 2, 2011. His topic was “Michigan Athletics… Changing to Grow!”

U-M’s School of Kinesiology sponsors the PE Workshop, given annually the first Friday in December. Featuring hands-on training and seminars led by faculty, graduate students, and area professionals, the Workshop sessions include topics such as:

•  Child CPR/AED;
•  Promoting Positive Body Image in Students; and
•  PE Metrics Made Simple

The four sessions, each with four activity options, ran from 8:30am to 2:30pm and took place at the Central Campus Recreation Building (CCRB) (Google Maps).

Registration was $75 in advance, $85 at the door; full-time students with proof of status, $20. Workshop t-shirts and sweatshirts could be ordered before the event, and parking tickets were validated at the registration table.

The next PE workshop is scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2012.
