Resistance training can improve your cardiovascular health
AES assistant professor Abbi Lane shares exercise recommendations from the American Heart Association with WDIV.
Traditionally, aerobic exercise, or "cardio," such as walking, biking, swimming, or running, was thought to be the best way to increase cardiovascular health. Applied exercise science assistant professor Abbi Lane, who served as the vice chair of the AHA's writing group for this paper, shared more details with WDIV, just in time for American Heart Month.
