The types of exercise that can slow aging
Assistant professor Andrew Ludlow speaks with EatingWell about his latest research.
Through the Integrative Molecular Genetics Laboratory at SoK, assistant movement science professor Andrew Ludlow studies telomeres, the "caps" at the end of DNA strands that can slow down aging when they're working as they should. There's evidence that exercise can help maintain telomere length and function; Ludlow's recent research illuminates what kinds of exercise might be best at doing so, including walking. He spoke with EatingWell Magazine about his findings.
