Q: Out of everything you're working on right now, what are you most excited about and why?
A: I'm most excited about the amazing team of people in the OSA Suite! There is such a broad range of strengths, and I'm enjoying the privilege of teaming up with this crew!
Q: What's the most meaningful or satisfying aspect of your work?
A: I find deep satisfaction in taking complicated tasks and breaking them down into do-able steps. I love being able to check off each item on a list and see that we've come out ahead as a team. It brings me joy to take things off of other people's plates.
Q: How do you balance your time between the demands of your work and personal life?
A: I read Steven Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People the year I graduated from college. I've used his system for roles and goals for decades, and it's always helped! I also live by the mantra, "When in doubt, simplify."
Q: Who are the special people in your life?
A: I have an amazing and big family! My husband of 29 years, Rick, three sons (Josiah, 28; Daniel, 24; and Ben, 22), a daughter (Maddie, 26), and a son-in-law (Landon, 27). No grandkids yet, but the exponential possibility is a little daunting!
Q: If you could go on vacation anywhere, where would it be and why?
A: Greece. History and ocean in one fell swoop!
Right now, I'm most excited about the amazing team of people in the Office of Student Affairs Suite! There is such a broad range of strengths, and I'm enjoying the privilege of teaming up with this crew.
