From classroom & court to coach
Applied Exercise Science sophomore Danielle Rauch wants to use her experiences in the classroom and on the basketball court to become a coach after she graduates. She talked with mgoblue.com writer Steve Kornacki about her desire to get into coaching and her time playing basketball for U-M.

Out of high school, I was interested in nutrition and how the body works. So, I knew I wanted to get involved with kinesiology. Then it was a matter of finding my path in that, and exercise science -- how the body works and moves, and what you have to do to sustain things -- is really interesting to me.
